5 MB or 5 KB,
M is short for Mega which means Million.
K for Kilo which means Thousand.
5 MB is about 1000 bigger than 5 KB.
(sometimes in computers1024 is used somewhat "incorrectly" instead of 1000 as it is an easy number for computer to work with, because of this you'll sometimes see KiB and MiB for Kibibyte and Mebibyte, but as this nomecture was only adopted in late 1998 its is still far from widespead).
This applies to the whole metric system so 5 grams(g) is 1000 smaller than 5 kilograms(Kg) which would be 1000 time smaller than 1 metric tonne aka a megagram (Mg).
also be careful on capilisation for you're quest b and B are differnet to, there are 8 b for every B (8 bits for every 1 Byte). And while a Mg is very big as explained above a mg is very small! A lower case m means a thousand times smaller so while a gram (or a byte, though factional bits, which arent used so much with computers but information theory would more commonly be expressed as a decimal or fraction or logarithm) are small a milligram (mg) is a thosand times smaller again. Pharmasists/doctors often deal with medicines with such small amounts of active ingredient per dosage.

MG= Milligram. This is a weight measurement.
KG = Kilogram, equal to 1000000 times a milligram.
MB = Megabyte. Measurement of file size.
KB = Kilobyte. equal to 1/1000 of a Megabyte.
a 5 MB file is much larger than a 5 KB file.
However, since a 5 MG file cannot exit since there is no way that a file can be 5 Milligrams, a 5 KB file would be the larger of the two.

when u said "5 mg" i you assume u meant 5 Megabytes
and with "5 kb", i would get it as 5 Kilobytes
Mega means million, so it is 5,000,000 bytes
Kilo means thousand, so it spell out to be 5,000 bytes
when u said 5 kb, in strict technical term, it means 5 x 1024 bits. the computer consider 1024 to be 1K. and b = bits, B = bytes. (1byte = 8bits)
anyway, 5 M is more than 5 K. unless you mean mg, which is miligrams ...
