That is a HUGE faux pas in royalty etiquette. You allow the Queen to extend her hand first (if she chooses to do so). And why didn't Pelosi courtesy? Then when the Queen tried to pull her hand away, Pelosi wouldn't let go....thought she was trying to steal the Queen's glove!

All Americans are rude and without proper etiquette and manners.....the sad thing is that the Queen probably doesn't expect much from any of us.
That seems to be the case, yeah.
Pelosi should be embarrassed,
aggressive women are not valued where humble manners reign.
I mean, If I knew that the Queen was coming and I was going to meet her,
I'd look up and read anything I could get my hands on about Royal etiquette so as not to disrespect her and show off my best and most gracious self.

Yes, Well I can't stand Pelosi, so I would love to jump on the bandwagon, but hey, Who cares about the traditional way to greet the queen? We left England, remember, And here in the USA women shake hands.

Only subjects of the queen courtesy...You are wrong to think Pelosi or any other americans should courtesy.
Get educated yourself
At lest she didn't tongue kiss her like Bush did to that Arab.

I am by no means a fan of Pelosi but this was not a faux pas. Americans do not curtsy, it is not a sign of disrespect.

Who cares!! The "Queen" was/is in our country, she should conform to our culture. How ridiculous that you think that she should bow down to the queen. As someone stated earlier, didn't our forefathers leave England to get away from these type of traditions.

I am not ashamed that she did or did not do something. I am saddened that some voters keep electing her but that’s America.
