I preffer the local places. (they're usually cheaper.)

We're boycotting Starbucks. They've just moved into our little berg in the last couple of years and like to set up shop right next to or across from locally owned, established coffee shops. It's the Wal-Martization of coffee!!!

We have the "card" at Joe Muggs in Books-a-Million, but we hardly ever go there - the service is awful, and they make no effort to keep the place even sort of clean. I can't count the times we have gone to the only empty table and had to ask for a cloth to wipe it off ourselves, or risk sticking down forever. And the people at the Longview store have NO IDEA how to make a cappuccino. Every time (and I mean EVERY time) I've ordered a cappuccino, I get latte. I quit complaining, because they'd take it back, pour it into another cup, and hand it back. So now I have COLD latte.
I really like the small local places, more personality, and sometimes they even know how to make the drinks they advertise!

I usually make my own, but I also kinda prefer small local places, I really don't like Starbucks. You know there was a taste test done and McDonald's coffee won over Starbucks.

Totally into the local shops.
I like starbucks and the others, but I would rather give my cash to an independent.
I also tend to like the vibe of the local dives better-music, look, coffee, etc...

the locals are better apparently Starbucks coffee tastes like piss (not that i drank piss or anything just something some people are saying)
