Thats not true, some people say if you are due to give birth eating pineapple can help move things along, but it wont cause a miscarriage.
There are some foods you should avoid during pregnancy, undercooked meat, shark, swordfish, and you should not eat a lot of tuna, but 1 can a week is ok.

I have heard that too. And avoided eating papaya for almost 7 months of pregnancy. I checked with my gyn because I was craving it and she told me to have it...It might induce a miscarriage in the initial stages of pregnancy if you have it very raw. This is because it generates a lot of heat in the body. There is no scientific evidence to support this beleif though. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure.

It sounds like an old wive's tale to me. Do talk to your ob/gyn about pregnancy diet in general- lately pregnant women have been avoiding tuna because of mercury pollution. And there are also some nutrients that you should get extra during pregnancy, like folic acid.

these foods are fine. just stay away from caffeine or your baby will go through caffeine withdrawal at birth......believe me i know on this. no one told me not to drink my mountain dews (2 liters a day) when i had my last son and he was born jerking and jumping in his sleep and while awake for the first few day.
