It generally depends upon the state in which you live, and the size of the company. Call your HR dept. first. If you run into problems call the local dept. of labor (no pun intended). I started a job in August of 2000, I found out I was pregnant the day before I started - hello - not fun! But they were cool about it. But here in New York - you get 2 weeks before the baby is born, and 6 weeks after, unless you have a C section then its 8 weeks after.

Talk to other employees that have been working there for a longer period of time. You can also try calling HR (human resources), I don't know if they have that there, but it worked for me. I used to work at Bank of America, and you had to be there a year to qualify. Me and another girl were pregnant and started at almost the same time, and I got mat. leave and she didn't. When she had the baby she had been there 11 months...sucks. I had been there a year and two months when I had the baby. Good luck! And Congrats!

You might as well tell your boss - this isn't going to go away. Another couple months and you won't have to tell them, they'll figure it out. She might even react well, and congratulate you.
No, you're not covered by FMLA since you won't have worked there for 12 months, so you won't be eligible for family medical leave. But if the company has a medical leave policy, you might be covered by that. And your short term disability might cover your time off when the baby is born.
Good luck.

You should go to HR and ask - talk to an HR Rep and ask them to keep your conversation confidential.
You will not be entitled to Family Medical Leave Act Provisions at the time the baby is born, but depending on how your compnay calculates your eligibility, you may become eligible while you are off using paid vacation time.
Hopefully you are married and can rely on your husband to support you while you take care of your newborn.

I would look in the phone book and find Labor Standards- Labor Laws and Regulations. Call them you can find out what the law requirements are in your state. They tell you everything, even as to what piercings you are allowed to where at work. Good Luck!!! I hope everything works out for you and congrats!!!

You should be okay and if they raise it as a problem SUE them for unfair discrimination practices. It's that simple.
Have your baby, enjoy your pregnancy and DON'T vaccinate the little one with mercury shots because they WILL become autistic and retarded.
