To london and madonna: I'm sorry, but I accidentally gave you guys a thumbs down when I intended to give a thumbs-up. I can't rectify it now, so please forgive me. Haven't been here in a while and didn't look what I was doing! Sorry, again!

Outgoing??
mmm...
If you're talking neighbourly outgoing... like street parties or people hanging out at each others homes. The community thing being really felt... then I must say that the coloured and black communities in the townships (traditional "apartheid" exclusion zones) really are a fine example of "outgoing". Really good vibes. People know each other. If there's an issue all come together to provide assistance or sort things out. Most people don't have much materially, but they offer a great deal in friendship and support.

If you're talking outgoing like meeting new people? Loud and fun to hang with ? or party with? then most South Africans can easily fit this role. Depending on the occassion we can be extremely outgoing?

Is it a brithday party? Or a club? Or just a big rugby or even soccer game.... man we can be quite outgoing !!!

Dont worry Porgie, I fixed it up and gave both a thumbs up!!! (",)
I'd really like to think the Xhosa's are one hell of a group. Super expressive (I love those clicks) and quite influential. They seem to have a great presence and zest for life. Very proud of their language and culture... I love the Xhosa accent as well and how they mix bits of English in their language. I'm Tswana and have a pretty lazy tongue, so those clicks often find me biting or swallowing my tongue...

I just think that we as South Africans, generally, just know what a good time is & we know how to make a jol-irrespective of culture.I guess that's the common ground that we as South Africans share.

AmaXhosa, and I can't give a definite reason why. Maybe it's because I grew up in the Methodist Church (dad being a priest) and interacted with them as they were in all congregations in all urban areas we ever lived.

Actually its not about cultural groups - South Africans are outgoing, friendly and will talk to anyone who talks to them.
