If you mean available `garden plants`, the sum is huge, tree, shrub, perennial, and annual plants,succulents, grasses, and exotics (rough guess) 25,000. If you include the many research facilities, major nurseries, national collections, Kew gardens, wild flower and world heritage collections,vegetable collections, the number is staggering. Kew gardens ALONE have collected over 1 BILLION wild seeds during their world plant heritage scheme. The final answer is very, very, very many. Add 12 to the final number, as I am about to plant some beans !

There are four plants in England. I am lucky enough to own one of them, although I did lose an eye in the struggle.

Too many, makes me greedy when i go to Squires etc. Too many to mention, gorgeous, beautiful plants. I love UK for the huge variety of plants you get here. Supurb my dear:)
