put a nice pond and some kind of nice land scape on it . I always watch gardening shows on TV but have yet come across any that look like my property. I live on a slopeing hillside in northeast Pa. Can anyone give some kind of sugestions for me to do. Oh by the way it's 90% all sun.

it depends on the slope of the hill, but what i myself would do is create a series of smallish ponds (makes less digging into the hillside to create space for a large pond) and link them with some rockwork to make a cascading fountain.
mabe add steps along/around them so you can walk up among the ponds, and plant some nice full sun flowers and shrubs.

Below are some basic ideas, you don't always have to terrace the hillside but if you are going to put in a pond you might need to do so on part of it.
Landscaping on a slope is not an easy task. Just take your time, Rome wasn't built in a day. Plan each sections as a separate room/garden. Decide what each section is going to be . The rule of thumb is always draw out your plan first. Allow for pathways that wind rather than go straight down. Plans some seating areas.

you can get a landscaper to give you some help and discounts for allowing him to put up some small advertising signs. For a limited period of time, especially one that is just starting out in the business and needs to have their work seen by clients. Get on the internet and look for ones in your area and email them with that idea/suggestion.
Good Luck!

You've received some really good suggestions from the other contributors on what you can do to add a water feature to your property, I personally would have suggested the cascading pools, I think that would look great, especially if you put a small retaining wall in front of one pool and had the water cascading over the wall to the pond below. Your landscape dreams are only restricted by time, money and imagination.

You want a winding creek with a pool at the bottom and a waterfall or artisan well at the top. Make the creek about 15" wide and about 7" deep. Have the bottom covered with river rock and add interest with protruding rocks. Then add places to sit, flowers a little crossover bridge, etc. As the mood strikes.

At our old house we had a huge steep bank behind our house. I don't know exactly what your place looks like but we put a retaining wall into the hill side and had a pond in front of it. We planted black-eyed susans, daisies, and other sun loving perinnials. We also bought a quick spreading ground cover, but I can't remember what it's called. Hope I helped.
