I'm 39 weeks and although it's been fully engaged and in the right position for a couple of weeks now I think my baby may have turned back to back in the last few days.
I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow but wondered if anyone knew any good ways to help it turn the right way again in the mean time. I've heard that walking helps but too painful, and I can only realistically spend so long on my hands and knees!
Any ideas welcome...
Plus, does anyone have any experience of how much difference this actually makes to labour? How worried should I be?!

I had four babies, three the normal face down one face up. There was no difference in labor. Some people say you feel more back labor with face-up babies, but I didn't. Labor is labor. I always preferred being on my hands and knees during contractions to ease the discomfort.
Congratulations on your baby! Don't worry too much. Things will go well. Enjoy the last few days of your pregnancy. Rest and care well for yourself.

I wouldn't worry at this point, because so much can happen before labor. Some babies will turn again in the days preceeding, or actually during labor.

That's great you have a midwife - I did, too! She had some great suggestions during labor for helping it along, and I'm sure yours will, too, especially if baby needs to turn and descend.

My best friend was the birthing stool. I pushed in many different positions, but once I got on the birthing stool....one push and my daughter was out!

Best of luck.

Do you mean that the baby's back is against yours? (sunny side up)

If so, my daughter was this way when I delivered, and I only had to push one time. (natural, no drugs, first pregnancy, I was 19).
You can do this. Baby will turn if need be. Otherwise don't worry.

Good luck and congrats!!
