Whats the best hotel to stay in on the Strip?

Personally, I liked staying at the Paris. The rooms are nice, the restaurants are good and the casino is fun. If you get a room facing the strip, you can watch the water show at the Bellagio from your room. The Aladdin was also nice but I know they've done some renovations recently, so I'm not sure how the rooms are now. I agree with the answer above, if you're going to spend the $$ Bellagio is nice - I've also heard the Wynn is nice, but have not stayed there.
Our last trip, we stayed at the Flamingo and won't stay there again - they are renovating their rooms but it seemed too old compared to the other casinos/hotels.

That is a loaded question. The Wynn is an absolutely beautiful hotel with some fabulous views (and an awesome bed), but I think Bellagio is a step down service wise but is in a better location. I would probably would never stay in Bally's or Flamingo, but they have an even better location on the strip. It's just a matter of what you are looking for.

Best in terms of what?

Centrally located? TI, Wynn, Caesar's, or Venetian.
Opulence? Wynn or Bellagio.
Party atmosphere? TI or Casear's.
Spa? Venetian.
Pool? Mandalay Bay

If you ask a hundred people what the "best" is, you'll get nearly a hundred different answers. My advice is to look around at the websites for the hotels and see which one has what you're looking for, and that would probably be your best.

"Best" as in fanciest? I'd say the Bellagio or Ceasar's Palace; maybe even the Paris (they are all in the same area of the strip. As far as value goes, I'd say a little older place like the Excalibur or the Luxor are the best bang for your buck!
