I would like to believe they would but don’t think it would happen. They would have to raise taxes to cover it and it would be like taxing the taxpayer twice (once for the social security and again now to repay it). the young people of this nation need to get out of the mindset that they will be taken care of – there will be no money when they get old and very few workers to tax.

Yes, out of their own pockets.
It should be the law of the land that tax monies collected for a specific purpose be used for that purpose ONLY.
If Social Security actually is in trouble, it's because our employees have misused the funds in order to further their own agendas, one of which is to destroy Social Security.
