I neither agree nor disagree with his comments but has Schilling's big mouth finally put him in harms way legally? Seems to me that if Barry Steroid has been clean all along he would not hesitate to file suit against Schilling for slander and defamation of character. What do you think??

Players are given plenty of notice when steroids tests are going to be done, it's hardly an accomplishment that he has never tested positive.

If Bonds was clean, the Balco boy would have said so under oath instead of refusing to testify.

If Bonds was clean, there would have been no grand jury story to leak.

If Bonds was clean, he would have put a libel suit on the SF cronicle instead of the charge he did use (leaking grand jury testimony)

Why should he waste his time going after children and retards that call him names? Steroid is not a bad word, but I'm sorry it does not apply to Barry Bonds unless the uneducated like yourself has solid proof or a MLB/independent laboratory test results showing Barry took steroids and are currently in his bloodstream at this moment. Barry does not need to sue anyone for name calling. He is much more of a man than most people here that call him names, are brainwashed by the media or accuse him on baseless terms.

Curt Schilling can say anything he wants, but should be able to back his words up with solid proof about Barry Bonds and everything he alleges.

You want to know why Barry Bonds is guilty of what Schilling accused him of - Because he won't sue.
See, back when the book Game of Shadows came out, that was when Bonds would sue. The statements that Schilling made were based on this book. But has Bonds ever sued anyone associated with this book? No! Why - because then he would have to prove that it was lies -and he cannot do it! So sure he could sue - but he won't because he would have to step up and show why the accusations were false. And he cannot do that.

I'm just curious, over the years Barry has been labeled a "bad" person. What are your thoughts on Curt Schilling? He makes Barry to be almost devil-like and acts like he is so "perfect". I don't care if Barry sues, or not. He probably should take him deep when the Giants are in Fenway and then crack his dome after.

Turn him in, take legal action. In a way i think Curt was trying to make a racial statement but did not say it exactly. He said things that have not been proven to be true, like steroids, cheating his wife, and taxes. He has some hate towards Barry Bonds and he dont deserve to be treated the way he did. He was verebally abused and should take some sort of action with the baseball committee to get Curt suspended for a couple of starts. Bonds is being treated unfair for the last 3 years and it needs to stop because he has passed every test he has taken and there is facts stateing that he has not used steroids.

If he is such a hero, why didn't he say anything when he went to the Congress meeting? He was there because he is so outspoken against it but when he was sitting in the presence of guys he accused of taking steroids, all of the things he had to say went away. i would have a lot more respect for him if he had taken that chance that baseball and the government offered to him instead of being essentially a coward. P.S. Why is he worrying about it? He has had great success in baseball with multiple 20 win seasons.

He could always sue Schilling for character defamation or slander. However, Schilling would only have to prove his allegations were true and he'd prevail.

It's called Slander if what the person said is not true but you have to proove damages I believe. Barry hasn't lost anything over this and his alleged steriod use has been well publicized so it's not going to affect what people already think about him and his records. Having said that, anyone can sue but winning is a different story.

The serious answer is no because he is a celebrity and the standards are so high for him to win. He must prove that Schilling knew that Barry did not take drugs and said he did.

If I were Bonds I would just keep swinging the lumber and allow that to do my talking for me.
