How about some memories. Have all your old home movies put on DVD, you can also add different background songs. Maybe different music from different time periods in your lives together. Put together a scrap book that shows you two in photo's around your anniversary every year. They don't have to be in order. You still have time to do this, but it will be a lot of work. Think of the look on her face, and you can spend your anniversary enjoying all of the time you two have spent together. Congratulations on your anniversary

Goodness....you are 56 and still don't know what to get your wife!!! What does she like? How about a fabulous restaurant and a beautiful piece of jewelry? Maybe an overnight in an upscale hotel...and jewelry. The sky's the limit. Maybe she already has something in mind...ask her. It's your anniversary as well.

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

Now if that doesn't fit into you budget, try getting her something sterling silver with both your names in engraved on the picture frame with a photo taken (if you have it) when you guys first meet.

How many years have you been married? You can plan a nice evening out and go see a concert, play, comedian...make it a together gift since you are celebrating your union and husband and wife.
