I think anyone who has been through a divorce would agree that there are few things more stressful than a divorce, except a divorce where children are involved.
It seems to be a "lose-lose" proposition and I'm sorriest for the kids. They did nothing to deserve seeing Mom and Dad in this situation which usually brings out the worst in both of them.

The year of 2005...
That was undeniably the worst year of my life....
My uncle (my dad's brother) died of stomach cancer after fighting it for over a year... and the week of his funeral my dad (who never had a ailment in his life) started to get ill... a week later he was diagnosed with lung cancer... He died within a month of my uncle... I was his carer at home and was off work for a while... I was with him holding his hand when he died... Never knew I could be as strong as I was to get though it.... It's easier now.. but I still miss him heaps... I'm an only child and was a real 'daddy's girl' ! lol... He will never be replaced in my heart... Think that was the most stressful part of my life... Don't think much else will ever come close....
xx

2001 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I had to have a radical mastectomy and loads of chemo. Then I had another lump removed from my arm and more chemo, and then some lousy rotten person shot my cat! This all happened within 7 months so yep definitely most stressful!

Being weaned off of my medicine Paxil to be put on another medicine. Finding out I am a diabetic and being put on a pill for that. Finding out my beloved Lab will need surgery. Finding out my son has been accepted to the Police Academy. All this has been on 1 day.

OMG I have to pick one.
Losing my mum was the most stressful, but within a year I had lost my mum, moved house twice, and had a baby.
Nothing else is allowed to happen, I'm on strike .....
