I had three platies. Sadly two died, so recently I got four more. The first platy is just under a year now, and I got the new ones two weeks ago. The four new ones swim round together, but the older one won't swim with them, and often goes up to eat only when the others are finished. It's not as if they are chasing her or anything, they just don't seem to want to integrate with each other. Is this ok, and is there any thing that can be done?
Thanks

They are of a different age and from different groups, it will take time before they are comfortable swimming near each other. That's normal and should change eventually.

it's OK, i've once had a case like you, but after a while, they'll get along and hangout together. you don't have to worry, it's like they're shy with each other for the 1st time.
