No. Normally, a PC contains software from different companies, so it's virtually impossible for a single software to track them all and notify you about available updates. But, you will be glad to hear that a download site called File Hippo is producing a special product that will actually notify you about products, which are present in File Hippo. It means that, if you have got a software and it is also listed in File Hippo, then you will be notified about the updates available for that software. Visit
http://filehippo.com/ for more information. You will find this at the top right corner of the page.
P.S. It's still in a beta, the stable version is expected to be out soon.

An excellent one is Belarc's Advisor in the Download section at http://belarc.com It is free and not only list all the MS upgrades, but list all installed software, hardware, serial numbers, and other facts.

Yeah, I just wrote a program that will scan your PC and tell you what upgrades it recommends.

I ran it on your machine, and it says...

Intel 386 processor
256 kilobytes ram
5-1/4" floppy drive
14.4kbps modem

recommend additional 256K ram.
or use as boat anchor

There is not one single program that will do this...Microsoft has it's own program (Microsoft Update) on it's site as well as other programs have their own update apps...you need to update your computer and programs manually with the programs set up for this!
