This Doubting Thomas englishman is now a convert.
On my first visit to Scotland this was my surprising, but more correctly, startling experience that makes me absolutely certain that the Loch Ness Monster exists.
I had not heard until recently that Nessie is believed to be a plesiasaur, or a giant eel.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAW when I had this scary encounter in a vastly smaller, nearby loch. I had always scoffed at the monster stories but now I am certain that what I saw was just one of many that lurk in the lochs. Three companions and myself went swimming in the loch and It was very dark, almost black water with very little vegetation around it and was very still and quiet when suddenly, quite close to me, the body of this enormous thing with a dark and smooth body like a really giant eel - I would say, with no exageration, about seven or eight feet in girth - very briefly arched right out of the water without making a sound and disappeared again. Only I saw it and I yelled a warning to the others and rapidly got out. They stayed in thinking I was fooling around no matter that I was shivering with fright and constantly blurting out "OMG....so it´s true". That experience convinced me that no way is this a myth or a legend - there is a monster and probably others and very likely much larger than what I saw in Loch Ness. And others are bound to lurk in the many other lochs. This is an absolutely true account. If you are reckless enough to not heed the warnings and also take a plunge make sure you look out behind you!

(1)"No way!...I'm not quitting now." I shouted out from my small dingy to the captain on board the larger boat ..."Like I told you, I'm going to locate (2)the Loch Ness Monster if it's the last thing I do and I didn't come all this way to (4)Scotland and Loch Ness not to get the evidence that I'm looking for to prove Nessie's existence."

"Well then my laddie...better (5)look out behind you!" the captain shouted back..."because I think you just found it...or rather it found you."

I turned around and in a moment of true disbelief and amazement, but yet not really a (3)surprising one, found myself shouting, (6)"OMG...so it's true!" as the sea monster, it's head just barely out of the water, passed slowly by me, the rippling waves of it's wake rocking my small boat ever so gently. I had found it, what I came all this way to discover...the evidence was clear, there really does indeed exist...the Loch Ness Monster, and I now had the proof I needed to convince the rest of the world.

(this is the "extremely condensed" version...
condensed about as much as I could and darn it, still exceeded the two paragraph limitation)
oh well, it was still fun writing it.

I say No way! Seeing the Loch Ness Monster shouldn't be surprising, especially if you are in Scotland. But my mother-in-law doesn't agree. She insists that it was a very unusual and startling experience.
Look out behind you! She's coming! OMG so it's true, surviving an encounter with the creature DOES make you scarier....

A Father, arrives at his Son's house, early one Afternoon. His excitement, is much too much to hide. As the son opens the door. He feels the father, bursting with news to tell him. Before he's even let into the house, The Son mutters, "What?"
As the Father is let in the house. The smiles are rubbing off on the Son. He becomes excited at getting some good news. And he was gonna be hearing from his Best Firend.
The Father, trying to act casual, steps over to the counter in the kitchen. Starts getting a cup from the cabinet. All thwe while, looking over in the direction of his Son. As if he was putting his words together. And a smirky-like grin, was all over him.
"What!", the son yells in eager anticipation. "Why don't you go ahead and tell me?"
"You know that deal, that I was hinting around about? The one that I said I would tell you if I got it. I've been wanting it to be (3) surprising news." The Son nods in agreement. Before another word is uttered. The Father opens up with a burst of happiness.
"I got it! I got it, Son! I'm going to (4)Scotland!".
Silence broke the noise. The stunned figure of a son, waiting in anticipation. And hearing something that he hadn't expected. Seconds, go by. And the shock begins to wear off.
"(1)No way!" he yells out. You mean you're going to freakin' Scotland?"
"Yep", the Father mumbles. "I've been pressing thse people to let me the the Rep to it. So thy're giving me a chance to go check the place out.
(6)"Oh my God! ...so it's true!" the Son stumbles out, while looking off in the distance. He brings himself back to the moment. And shakes his father's hand. "So when will you be going?"
" Will that's the reason I'm coming to tell you in person. I wanted you to decide when we're going". Leaving a smile that can't be hidden.
"Wha, ......you mean, ...me? You I'm getting to go too? .....No way!"
"Way, Son. You..are...going..to.Scotland!"
A stunned, figure, walks toward the Dinning Room table. Looking away, as if to be transported to the Land of Ancient Times. The land of Catheryn Zeta-Jones. The Land of (2)The Loch Ness Monster.
The two then huddle together in appreciation of thier Love for eachother. For their comment to eachother. And their enjoyment of the moment.

**I know it wasn't suppose to be a Short Story. But I got caught up in the moment. I beg for your fogiveness**

Sunshine my love. My heart pounds and I am left speechless that you would ask me to do your homework. I know you may be young at heart, but your life will be total chaos if you expect your dreams to come true without doing your own homework. I know you may not think I am worth it, but I have your best interest at heart.
