Is it simply a freak of nature? Or is it intrinsically linked to global warming?

It is a delusion that we have any world great powers except those of nature - like the weather and energy from the sun and wind.
Man has chosen to put his head in the sand - the scientists warned back in the 1950s about global warming and again in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, etc now it is too late to stop it but it is still possible to slow it right down and only then can we reassess.
Nature will become freakish if the planets equilibrium is upset as the planet will try to right it any which way - man is just like an ant on the surface - be humble, be thankful, look after the beauty we still have. Time waits for no man, the time is now.
The ice caps are melting - yes this is linked to global warming - man has aided the speeding up - man can aid the slowing down. Up to us all as individuals - no passing the buck each any every person has to take responsibility NOW.

It has not evaded the world powers that the weather is getting worse, they can just afford to buy all the emergency kit they want or think they will need... boats.. clothing... hurricane resistant house.... it doesn't matter that the rest of the world cant. Also, I believe lots of people feel they can't do a thing about it and every little effort takes no effect. They don't talk about the effect the "green" people have on the earth that much... because using the fossil fuels and so on, cutting down the primeval forests, it is not something one person can stop. I think i will start building my own ark of noa... I live 2 meters beneath sea level already... and our dykes won't hold if there really is a big increase...

Ignored-until 2007 and it's now accepted, but global warming has been eskimo folklore for a couple century's, so each year, elder's sqawk, of fantastic change's, (here in urban setting's) worse weather cause's umbrella's and or sunblocker's,clothe's, or daily change of venue. eskimo hunter's depend on mother nature to deliver a month long drought to hunt the pacified ocean mammal's. Weather has been getting worse the last score year's in arctic. Deadly bad

I would nt worry about it too much, global warming and cooling has been around for billions of years, even england has been a desert a rain forest and even a tropical sea. It is only because our life span is so short that we cannot see the big picture.

Friday, a little town near me was completely destroyed by a F5 tornado. Ten people were killed at last count. The president will visit today. You know what he will say? He will say that there was still plenty of National Guard equipment in Kansas. ( he sent most of it to Iraq.) Watch the news tonight. Politicians are only interested in
1.) getting elected
2.) covering their behinds so they can get re-elected.
A few towns destroyed don't bother them.

The world powers have incompetent buffoons in charge - or is that just UK and US? These people couldn't spot a black cat in the snow so yes climate change has evaded their attention........Erm correction, near election time they know all about it so i'm sorry, I can't help you and neither can they it seems.

because with all of their money that they have aquired they seem to have gotten ignorant, they think it will save their a$$e$ when the end comes somehow, they think they will either be able to escape this planet and go to Mars or dig themselves a deep enough and secure enough bunker to be safe from it all, either way regardless of what they think I hope they all burn in h$ll, they don't care about the people, and the only thing they might care about us is that they make their money off of our taxes that get paid, that's about the extent of their caring about us, and the weather probably there for isn't to big of a concern either, yeah they know, they just don't care

is it getting worse or are we just moving into areas prone to bad weather, it probably is getting worse but its just part of a cycle.
