Call beauty salons in your town and ask.
That 'inside beauty' stuff is true, though. At least for people who aren't totally shallow.

Makeup can do wonders - 99% of women look bad without out. Check out this pic of Christina Aguilera with and without makeup. While some think she is a stone cold fox, if they saw her without makeup the only analogy to fox would be that foxes are close in genus to the dog family.

In addition to what the above poster said about Mary Kay, Merle Norman offers free makeovers also. Also many of the reps for Estee Lauder and Lancome have been trained in make-up application and skincare and can help you pick out products, try them on you and show you how to apply them to accent your features.
Hairstyle is also important and the best way to find a great stylist is when you see people that have hair styles that you like, ask them who their stylist is...most will be gushing over to tell you all about it. The downside is that you are not highly find a great stylist at SuperCuts...good stylists are expensive, but worth it.

Go to a MaryKay beauty consultant in your area. You could go to www.marykay.com and find one right in your town and get a virtual makeover online. The best thing about marykay is their facials and glamour makeovers are free and you even get a free gift from your consultant if you share your facial and glamour with 2 to 3 friends.
