If you like violent footy films check out The Firm starring Gary Oldman (not the Tom Cruise one!), also I.D. is fantastic.
Ray Winstone has appeared in great British violent flicks like Scum, Sexy Beast and the underestimated Ripleys Game.
Also i really like Love, Honour and Obey which stars Ray Winstone, Jude Law, Rhys Ifans, Johnny Lee Miller et all.
Finally i would recommend The Business and Severence (both films were from the makers of Football Factory).
Anyway all these are worth a look.

Any gangster film except the krays, notice the small c!! Just about the most inaccurate portrayal of anyone I've ever seen. It doesn't even come close. Nothing to do with the Kemp's, they're just actors on a screen. If you were there you know just how bad it really was. All this nonsense about leaving outsiders alone! Who were they robbing? each other. All rubbish about leaving you door unlocked, safe to walk the streets, and don't forget, even Tony Blair believes that. A thief will take. A violent person will whack you. It was a bad and frightening time. I could go on. I was there and I know.

There is a film it's called "Gangster Number 1"it was made in 2000 and is quiet graphic but very well done. The story is based around the 60's with David Thewlis/Saffron Burrows/Paul Bethany and Malcolm McDowell. Both McDowell and Bethany play the same character(at different ages) but are really convincing.

if you liked football factory, you'll love I.D
set in the 80's its about an ambitious young copper who infiltrates a hooligan group but starts to see life from the other side....
You'll recognise alot of faces in it, including a few who later went on to star in soap operas, dramas etc - launched alot of careers (i.e. Sean Pertwee)
its a fantastic 2 hours worth of film
Other notables are
Face (Ray Winstone)
Scum (Ray Winstone)
Long Good Friday (Bob Hoskins)
Hope this helps....

"The Lavender Hill Mob"
"The Long Good Friday"
"Gangster No. 1"
"The Krays"
"Sexy Beast"
"Essex Boys"
And my personal favorite: "The Boondock Saints" starring Willem Dafoe. Bloody, and darkly hilarious. An absolute must-see for any one who wants to root for the bad guys!
