6 answers

1) ((x^2)/(x+1)) / ((x^2-7x-8)/(x^2+3x))
2) ((x^2)/(x+1)) x ((x^2+3x)/(x^2-7x-8))
3) ((x^2)(x^2+3x)) / ((x+1)(x^2-7x-8))

when dividing the fraction, you take the reciprocal of the second fraction and multiply it to the first fraction. You can just leave the answer like this. However if you need to expand further, the answer would be like this:
(x^4 + 3x^3) / (x^3 - 6x^2 - 15x - 8)

hope this helps!

x^2/x+1 / (x-8)(x+1)/x(x+3) = x^3(x+3) /(x-8)(x+1)(x+1)

x^2/(x+1) * (x^2+3x)/(x^2-7x-8)
x^2/(x+1) * x (x + 3) / (x -8)(x+1)
x^3 (x+3)/[(x-8)(x+1)^2]
