The same happened to me. But i allowed it to make a nest. But its a real mess now. Bathroom is filled with bird feces. Thinking of the bird and its egg i cant throw it away. Anyway nw the baby bird had got out of its egg. Nw waiting for it to learn to fly, so that i can clean up the mess in my bathroom.
If u r a person who look for tidiness then u shudnt allow it, but if u r a animal or bird lover then get reday to be patient n tolerate the bird.
( In my case it was a pigeon, if its a small bird then it wont be tough 4 u to maintain it clean)

For a cheap and easy solution, go down to the toy store and buy a realistic looking rubber snake (Mean and Ugly looking) and hang it in the area where the bird is trying to build a nest. Be advised that if there is already a nest with an egg in it there, the bird will not stop trying to fight the snake and may eventually figure out that the snake isn't real. Good Luck.

Give the bird a artificial home nearby to live. Prepare a hoem for the bird from a shoe box and keep some distance away from the exhaust fan. If your house is destroyed where u will live ?

First if you want to be drastic: block it off.
If you want to have a milder approch: Somehow make the area of the nest sticky so you can catch the bird and drive it to a different part of town
If you don't want to have hard work:sitt on your butt and wait for the little birds to grow up

Block it off somehow so the bird can't get in there. It obviously likes the spot and will keep making it no matter how often you destroy the nest unless you make it so it can't get in there.

ifstead of destroying its nest why dont you creat a synthetic nest, next on your fan, from out edge the construction with dried grass, so as that it's going to occupy the nest and the two one in each and every of your project would be taken care of out.

Wipe it down with an unpleasant smelling cleaning product, try ammonia, & leave it damp. Do it several times. Hopefully it will work.
