if i put a partially-inflated balloon into a flask and then seal up the opening, what will happen to the balloon if a vacuum pump is connected to the flask and all the air is sucked out?? Will the balloon expand or contract? why?

And wat if i did the same thing but instead of putting a balloon in the flask, i put a marshmallow? Will the marshmallow expand or contract? why?

Thanks to any1 who can help!! =D

I think a marshmallow would contract because it is filled with air and within a vacuum would suck out all the oxygen.

I think a balloon would expand because there would be a decrease in pressure due to the air being sucked out so the air within the balloon would expand.
