It may be possible if both partners can handle that they don't share the same beliefs. However, worrying that his/her partner will go to hell for having different beliefs could cause a problem.

The short answer is NO. But, that is only if they both hold there individual faiths above the well being of the spouse.
Muslim would be sworn to kill the wife as a infidel or sell her into slavery, and She would need to try and convert him into Catholicism. Although she would not be told by her holy book to murder him if he does not complie.
A peaceful house can be made for these two, but not if they both hold there individual faiths. One or both will have to turn there back on there beliefs to get along.

Hope this helps,

Religions shouldn't get into the way of love. But we all know, it's difficult for a Muslim or Catholic to accept other religion as their spouse. Especially the Muslim, if the partner refuse to convert, she/he can never get into his/her social contact.

Yes, so long as they avoid extreme orthodoxies.

Jesus and Muhammed were both prophets. Jesus is honoured as a prophet in Islam.
The ones who talk about hell all the time are extreme.

Jesus never dammed anyone - he loved them all and showed how harmony can work.
Live and let live - that can work.
Love can rule us all.

best wishes.
