I am an independent music producer wiling to promote my projects through te Internet. Is that possible? What are the effective chanels?

I think Youtube is your best bet.

MySpace is another good place. They allow you to upload samples/full songs of your music (you don't have to let people download them), as well as post concert listings, band info, etc.

There's also www.last.fm , it's a site geared towards music enthusiasts, so you *might* be able to gain something from posting there.

Depending on your genre of music you might try finding independent sites that cater to listeners of that music and try to talk to them about your music. You might be able to sell yourself to them and maybe get an interview or article written about your music.

Myspace is really good for promothing music, Youtube, and Last fm are also pretty good.
