I'd suggest you try the Premium Economy option offered by Virgin Atlantic or British Airways ...
those seats are very big and there is lots of legroom ...
plus the food and cabin service is excellent!

I have flown this journey with KLM, Continental and BA. The best. I have to say. was BA. Depending on what time of year you are flying BA can do some cheap deals, the first time I flew with them it was in a January and the flight was only about £198. If you book ahead you might be able to get a cheap deal. Continental and KLM seemed quite shabby compared to BA. I think most seat sizes are about the same. But the last time I flew BA we got bumped up to business class and the seats were wonderful and spacey.
If your budget can cope I'd advise BA business class.

Try maxjet we just flew to new york for less than 500 pounds, all the seats are business seats and the service is first class!
Dedicated check in , it took less than 10 mins to get thru check in passport control and all the searches !

You pay a large price and you get a large seat. For most of us, economy (coach) is all we can manage. British Airways is good but as a Brit myself, I would rather sample another country's airline (Delta, American Airlines etc.)

go with british airways...the service is fantastic, i just can`t say enough about how wonderful a flight is when flying with this airline!!!
