Not necessary, not desirable. Hair protects your skin. If you wash hair, it's just as clean as washed skin, so ignore the untrue "it's cleaner" comments. Very, very few men actually do this, but I guess a lot of young teen boys have to try it when they start wishing they were ten years old again.

It depends if it bothers you or your partner then go ahead, trim down! And also, it does make your penis look larger, simple optical illusion. Pubic Hair does have a purpose wich is to protect you genitals so there's not really any harm in leaving it as it is.

No it is not.
Hair only grows to protect a certain part of your body in order to protect that spot from bugs etc.
My advice is to not do it.
In my personal opinion, the best thing to do is leave it

It is not mandatory but trimming helps to keep things clean and tidy. some even like completely shaved.
