She tried to kill herself by taking a household poison, which she wrapped it in either gum or in a time-release capsule so she wouldn't burn her throat and it would get all the way down. It put a hole in her intestines but then healed up. However, the scar led from her intestines into an artery, so infections were traveling through her system. They operated on her to fix it so she could live, but he told her parents what she tried to do. Also, Wilson gave him anti-depression medicine, so now he's happier, and Foreman still is resigning. House figured it out because he said something like, "You have to diagnose by what isn't there" and then realized that, when he mistakenly told her she was dying and had two days to live, she didn't want to know what was killing her and she didn't seem to care about living, and he figured it out between that and Wilson giving him the anti-depression meds.
