hi !!

sun rising.....don't remember when i last saw that ..too much of a late riser as i am !!
but the sunset is something i see often and yes,i take in the beauty of the sight.the moment when a section of the sun is still above the horizon and the sky is flooded with color and the crimson of the sun blurred..no longer a circle...wow!! divine...celestial...out of the world !!
but the very next moment when its gone and evening sets in a strange melancholy fills the mind.

but talking of life,i am generally optimistic and the glass is always half-full..never half-empty,therefore million suns rise in my mind daily and shine brightly.i don't let them set easily :-)

cheers & god bless:-)

I saw today morning too.

I go to the terrace everyday morning, look at the Sun and pour water. While pouring water, I look at Sun and at the thread of water falling down, so that my eyes get exercise for near and far sight. The Sun's rays falling on me will provide the Vitamin D for my body.

Then I look at the Sun and wonder at the greater force that keeps everything moving with such precision in this universe.

Almost everyday.

1. As Hindus it is a daily ritual (If one is religious)

2. As a naked eye astronomer I keep watching the sky at various times.

3. These are the times I spend in the garden and I love to take time out to watch the sunrise and sunset.

That is assuming that the sky is clear and the sun visible, which is not often the case.

At the time of sun rising you should have a hope that a new day started in your life with full of happy, brave. when u are observing the sun setting you should think off one day life spent through your life and you have to do so many things. I will tell you to do the things one life is not enough for doing the things. time more precious than any other thing in the world. you cannot bring back the time for your use. please observe.

I see the sun rise when I go to sleep. And I see it set several hours after I get up.

During the day you can see but one star. At night, you can see many.

Absolutely superb question!!

We take so much for granted in life.... no wonder we end up repenting at later stages of life when it becomes so difficult to make up for the lost time or opportunity.

However, the most important in this list of being taken for granted is the spouse with whom we usually spend the most as well as the best part of our life... it sort of becomes compensating since both persons do the same to the other.... but the grief doubles when one of them leaves for ever, becomes too late to do anything about it.

Yes we do. But on the other hand, they say that the sunsets and sunrises are now prettier and more colorful due to all the chemicals we pollute the air with. So when I see the sun set (which I did last night) I often ask myself - is it worth it? Pax - C

i agree...we take these sights for granted.

i really like the sunset...and most evenings i do see it. but you know i have never got "deep" into seeing it. i see it often, because i find it beautiful, and because i get plenty of time to waste most evenings ;)
but then, i don't really make it a point to see it.
and about sun-rising...i love sleeping and i can give up, seeing the sun rise for my beauty-sleep... ;)

but yes...if we could have looked at them from a "deeper" view...then life would have been more beautiful and peaceful.
:)
nice question! :)
