it depends on the bladder. the older water beds were no more than a big rubber bladder filled with water and they offered very little back support. but the newer ones have seperate bladders and some of them even have some type of foam insert and they are very comfortable to sleep on. you basically get what you pay for. spend as much as you can afford on the bladder and you will be happy. a bed really is an investment. just think that an average person spends 1/3 of there life in bed. might as well be comfortable while youre in it.

if your younger yes they are comfortable, but I have been noticing now that I am 39 mine isnt as comfy as what it use to be, but they are ok. They do make motionless ones now thats what mine is and there is very little movement in it unless I am acually getting into or out of the bed I dont even notice it.

Some of them are. Some of them are a royal pain. I like regular beds better. Easier to get out of too!

They're fun, but I don't recommend sleeping on one unless you enjoy back pain.

they are NOT comfortable. they are terrible for your back, they leak, slosh around, cold, you can hardly get out of them. They're awful. don't waste your money.
