HOW do they DO IT?!?

How do you know which type of music you prefer? I like all kinds, but how do you get a conversation started when talking about music. I marvel at people with the ability to say that they like the same kind of music and talk about it for hours?! How do they do that?!

Music is the ONLY the thing that reaches the masses. It cuts through religion, language and gender. MUSIC is universial. One guy can spend billions of dollars on a recording studio or, like me, you can buy a cheap PC microphone from Dick Smith's and make a CD in your own bedroom.

Find somebody who likes the same actor, colour or sound as you and I guarantee it will spill into a LENGTHY conversation!

It's Just Their Love And Passion For The Music. So As They Listen To A Certain Group Or Genre Their Knowledge Of That Kind Of Music Grows Off Of The Featured Artist Or The Producer And What Not. Then Their Knowledge Just Grows Like A "Snowball-Going-Downhill" Kind Of Thing, You Know What I Mean? Like I'm The Same Way With Hip-Hop!! But I Like The Late 80's And 90's Hip-Hop. Nowadays, Once In While I'll Hear An Artist That I Like.

I find such people dull and predictable, in fact. I find it superior to be diverse no matter what label something has. And that's your starter - well, I cant really limit myself to only ONE style - I mean, who can possibly be so dull to only listen to one or two styles - I like to call myself eclectic and follow my curiosity wherever it takes me. For example, most people hate XY but...." and so on - if you really must talk with such dumbasses.
