Okay, so here's the deal.

My semi friend had just taken me to grocery store (after having paid him to take me there) and we pulled up in front of my dorm. There was no direct loading zone in front, only fire zones and handicap spots, he chose to park in a handicap spot.

From there I told him to wait in the car in case someone came by to check, and that it would take me two trips to bring my stuff up. He was impatient (he didn't have to be anywhere, just didn't want to wait) and decided to take the other half of the stuff up with me (After I warned him against it).

We took the stuff up and were down in less than 3 minutes to find the parking people taking a picture of his car with a $360 parking ticket on his windshield.

Now he expects me to pay half, which I think isn't right. What do you guys think. Should I be paying half? Less? None? More?

Thanks for the answer, but I'm not asking if we should pay the ticket, I'm asking how much I should pay (I don't even have a license)

Under the law, you should pay because there was really a violation although it was only for 3 minutes. The law is hard but it is the law.

I think you have answered your own question.

Your friend took your parcel up for you of there own choice and parked in an illegal manner, then had the hide to hit you with the bill for there actions.

I think without a doubt that your friend is soley responsible for the parking fine.
