Is there a word for basing laws upon opinion and/or religion of the ones creating it and/or the people (example; abortion [primarily religion], gay rights [marriage {mostly religion}], premarital sex [religion], music rating [Parental advisory {sticker} label warning {primarily opinion}], limited free speech [no expression of hatred {equivalent upon religion and opinion}], etc...). Could someone please give me this word???

I don't mean parties. I mean something that shouldn't be good for either side (the politician and the people), like fascism. It's not a good thing. Some people don't see it, some do, some people acknowledge it and support it and some don't. I'm looking for a word like that. A word that would probably make a punk band make a song about it.

I think you're looking for ideology. For the record, democrats got the parental advisory for us, and it's mostly liberals against free speech.
