How does it compare to the "Holy Grail"?

You can't compare, they are both amazing. Python were still at the top of their game with that one.

I agree with everyone else. It's a very funny movie, but just slightly inferior to Holy Grail, one of the funniest ever. Both are highly recommended.

Great movie...very funny...but Holy Grail is a classic and one of the funniest movies of all time.

I would not compare the two movies as both are great comedies. But Life of Brian does have the best ending for a movie. You just can't stop yourself from singing along with the crucified.

not quite as good but there are still some classic python bits like 'hes not the messiah hes a very naughty boy'

Not as good, if it doesn't involve a rabbit with fangs like this-- VV it just doesn't do it for me.
