Increasing taxes reduces tax revenue collection, so of course the liberal politicians solution is to raise taxes again(because it worked so well the last time), or to create a new tax which just hides the fact that we are paying higher taxes.
Cut taxes, increase production, jobs, profits and you have more people paying in and fewer people needing assistance. With more people paying in and fewer needing help everyone pays a lower percentage of a smaller bill.

The correlation has too many variables. What if the increased tax money went to benefitting the rich more than the poor? You cant just group everyone in one country as an equal benefiter.
Secondly, the money might be funding something else that would eventually cause poverty, in which case, one could not fully see increased tax as cause of poverty. Things like - war.
Re: Joe C: You're the type of person that makes the world slow down. Before considering all other possibilities, you are quick to assert the falsehood of the opposition. One does not have to deal with question from a political standpoint because it is full of assumptions. Too slow of an answers means liberals are stumped, too fast of an answer and you would probably think that we had no credible response.
I know plenty of good conservatives who can argue from a logical standpoint instead of just arguing for the sake of political association. You're just not one of them.
Simple truth for you, simplified truth for me.

Check out Denmark and Sweden. Poverty is virtually non-existent in those countries. And they have some of the highest taxes on the planet.

The liberals are stumped on this and you've got them. In usual fashion, they'll remain silent because they know it's strategically correct to do so when they're boxed into a corner.
I would highly recommend that you keep reposting a similar version of this continuously. That will help keep it in the spotlight, but the liberals will despise you tremendously.

depends who gets taxed, what is taxed, and wether the money is used for public investment.say bridges, roads, schools ect.Or taxes are used to create jobs as well.In order for a country to be prosperous,it still needs a solid basic infastructure intact in the meantime.
