First time buyer for contacts?

So, like I've always been four eyed. and I'm thinking of finally getting contacts. My mom doesn't approve of them, so i plan to pay for them myself. Does anyone know which type of contact will be best for me since I don't have a lot of money and I don't think i'll have a lot of time to clean them out...

one more question... Since its my first time, would it be better to just get them online or go to the optometrist? like i know my prescription and stuff...

You have to get them through your optometrist, cuz there are so many different types. Plus they will fit you for them.
