in parts of america maybe, give it about 50 years and we will catch up with the social freedoms that the europeans enjoy. I hope.

I love how someone said there's no such thing as homophobes.
Yeah right, there's no such thing as racists either!!
I think society definitely makes it hard for some people to come out and be themselves, not only gays n bisexuals but people who are "different"
There's such a social thing to follow trends and wear brand names and I guess some people have an inner weirdness they keep in so they dont get teased.
I can make a bet everyones "in the closet" about something.

Society 80 years ago may not have been able to take the news of someone being homosexual or bisexual. The way society is today, I believe people should be able to express themselves and should not be afraid of "coming out of the closet" as you put it. Even though I am not homosexual, I do believe it must be VERY hard to come out and present your sexual orientation to the world. I really give them a lot of credit and just have to say: a lot of people are by your side, keep your spirits high! :)

I don't think there's a lot of society homophobia left out there. I work in retail and almost half of our customers are very openly gay men. I didn't realize people still contemplated the in the closet thing. (I'm in Ohio by the way.)

historic relatives values. women human beings have been often in cost of the relatives and raising the youngsters. they are against gay couples because of the fact a relatives is "meant" to be a father, mom, and youngsters. not 2 fathers or 2 mothers. i might wager that it began in early biblical circumstances, whilst they first got here up with the anti homosexuality element. however the ladies human beings raising the youngsters and stuff replaced into probable because of the fact that waaaaaaay back in background.

No, because if nobody makes people think about these things, then nothing will change. Twenty years ago, people would never dare ask for the right to marry their partner. Fifty years ago, someone who killed an openly gay person could rest assured that the police wouldn't bother to investigate seriously. One hundred years ago, you would be lucky to be shunned by polite society, and before that you could well be burned as a witch.
A gay/bi person doesn't have to act flaming or fly a rainbow flag, but they shouldn't be ashamed - and shouldn't have to be afraid - to admit they love someone who's same-sex.

They should stay in the closet to quit bothering others, not because of so-called "homophobia," of which there is no such thing (that's a term that is simply used to denigrate, insult and degrade people who are NORMAL).
By staying in the closet, The Homosexual Agenda would not be advanced and the crusade for ridiculous special rights would come to a halt.

As long as they don't do anything in public heterosexuals can't do, but the idea of forcing everyone to accept them by passing "hate crime laws" is going to far, that is "thought control" because it reflects religoous/moral beliefs which is one of the freedoms or government is supposed to protect, they can believe it's okay to be gay, I can believe it's not, they can preach what they like, I can preach what I like. I'm not endorsing violating their rights, they should not be trying to violate mine. Churches are not public entities, they have no business, nor does the government, telling churches what they must endorse, accept or practice in their churches.

Some homosexuals/bisexuals don't hide it because everyone else is making fun of them or is discriminating against them...some are unsure about it or ashamed. No, they shouldn't stay on the down low, they shouldn't be that way at all(you asked!!).

Why does anybody have to know another person's sexual preferences? I happen to be heterosexual, but that is my business and nobody else's.
I am not homophobic but I am damn tired of heterosexuals and bisexuals ramming their behaviors down my throat. Go to your room, turn out the lights and do it in private. I don't need to know about it.
