This guy owed me money, and he wrote me a check. We are on very bad terms. I'm scared he'll find my information when I cash the check into my account, such as my home address. Is this possible? I don't want him to harrass me anymore

They will give you the cash at his bank if you show ID, and they will give it to you right away. Ask them how they will keep your information private: he shouldn't be able to access it, and they may not retain it, they're just checking if your photo and name match what's on the check. And yes, I've seen banks cash checks for more than $1,500. If this guy is harassing you, get the book, "The Gift of Fear" and maybe talk to a police officer or the local DA about what you can do.

They can if they really wanted to and had all the right access. But if you dont use or deposit the check then No.

So don't cash it at your bank. Go to his bank, get cash. Then deposit the cash into your account.
