Yes he is pretty funny but cause of talking through his comp people don't usually get his jokes and others it just goes over there heads Stephen Hawking didn't always live like that though he grew up poor and entertained his family by singing and dancing and telling jokes so ya he does have a sense of humour but his infinite genius isn't understood by most.
just a quick note He was born in oxford England on Jan 8th 1942. I believe he got his PHD in cosmology around 79 he also has about 12 honorary degrees,he also has 3 kids believe it or not and he has the same job Isaac Newton had in 1669 the job is lucasian professor of mathematics at cambridge, I saw that Simpsons Episode too it was very funny he is pretty outgoing and fun so ya when he did his own voice for the show it wasn't much of a stretch from how he really is.

In addition to being awesomely smart, he has a well deserved rep as a wiseguy, punster, and maker of strange bets. His lectures and books are full of humor. Read "A Brief History of Time". For that matter, consider the title.
