For all the money we have spent on Homeland Security, why hasn't there been any investigation into the source of falsified info given to us to deceive us into the Iraq War? Why isn't there any investigation as to the real reason these sources had falsified intelligence? after all, the Iraq war was plotted long before 9/11 occured.
If America is really serious about protecting America, it would have pushed to uncover the real Conspiracy to mislead America into a manipulated war to distract us from chasing after the Al-Quedas. Shouldn't america demand to know if the deceitful sources are indeed connected to the Al-Quedas? Remember that the Saudi Embassy was feeding funds into the Al-Queda terrorists' bank accounts through Washington DC's Riggs Bank!

yes, yes, and no. When GWB went after Sodom hussein , he knew that Syria and Iran would both go after us with everything they could to keep us from getting a clear victory-- they employed every islamofascist murderer they could get, they employed every democrat in American federal politics, and they got the volunteer assistance of George Sorros, and; they still don't have a chance if we just won't weaken.
If Syria and Iran and the Democrats win, there will be a horrifying blood bath, then, Iran will have all of Iraq's oil money to buy arms and more murderers. Then they will come after USA , Israel, and every non-muslim with intent to murder us all.
This war is about the survival of freedom on this earth, because, if the terrorists win, the world will be fascist till its end..

no, its america's stupidity ang arrogance. they are humiliated by the 9/11 incident. they saw the world laughing at them when such a powerful country was attacked by a small and struggling group of people. which they can't take. and now they want revenge or let's say war to show off. and it is the poor iraq who suffered.

Bottom line, it's about politics. A case has been made by the President that it is a pre-emptive strike to stabilize the region which means that Iraq may no longer be a potential breeding ground for terrorists. That position is not exactly a popular one at the moment so you can draw your own conclusions.

They don't have that much oil. Its about money, though--for Cheney/Bush and friends.
For the Iraqis its clear that (despite the overtones of terrorism and sectarian violence) this about driving out a foreign invader and toppling the puppet regime they've had forced on them. NOTE: I'm not saying thats valid or not--just that that's the situation as they see it.

Since you have only given two options, I would choose terror over oil. But in my opinion, we are over there largely for reasons unknown to us.

The terror is part Al queda . In the long run it is about oil.The war in Iraq is now a civil war between Sunni Moslems and Shia Moslems. We are caught in the middle. Its a place we didn't intend to be.

It's about terror. It's about keeping the citizens of western countries under the constant terror of terrorist attack, lack of resources, and a whole host of other things. A terrorised population is a controlled population. Keep them scared and keep them consuming.
War isn't meant to be won it is meant to be constant. (to badly paraphrase Orwell)
