I do, because initially I was curious to see if some of them were resolved or how they were resolved. Now I do sometimes still because I began to wonder what some peoples motives are for voting or even bothering to vote.
Seems to me there are allot of folks that like to play games or try to get themselves voted "best answer". I don't know but, if the whole idea of this is to help others then they are certainly making a mockery of it. The bad part is that if someone asks a question that really is lost, then they are not going to have their problem solved. The correct answer or the better answer will get ignored or lost because of things like that.
I certainly don't know everything, no one does, Not even the things we are expert or professionals at. Many times we give it our best guess with the info provided and based our experiences. The very least that does it get someone headed in the right direction to solving the problem. That is why many times I extend the invitation for the asker to contact me directly if they need further assistance or to provide more details.
The other thing I noticed was some subsequent answers feel the need to critisies or mock a previous answerer. Now what is the point of that? Like I said, none of use know everything not even if your a pro. If someone has a better or more correct answer then great, you wont hurt my feelings and we even may learnfrom eachother. Isn't that the point?
So, in my longwinded way, yes I do go backand check and for those reasons.

I sometimes look back to see what question was chosen as the best answer, so yes I do see how many thumbs up or down people get.

Why would I do that, I don't care what others think about my answers, I just give the best answer I can and move on. I only have 11% best answers on average and that's not too bad.
