I like to stare both at the clouds and the sun (the sun's a star) at the same time. Especially during a sunset. It hurts my eyes very much, but the sight is worth it. I don't do it everyday though, or else I would be blind by now. Sometimes I think I am either very creative or crazy because I see a lot of figures in clouds, mostly with rich detail. As for the night stars, I like to see them too, but it's difficult because of the light pollution.
Disclaimer: Do not stare at the sun! If you have never stared at the sun before, do not be tempted to do so because of my answer! I really noticed a degrading change in my eyesight from staring at the sun.

I am out more during the day so I will say clouds. I love to stare at the stars though. I love the sky

I would think that you would stare at the clouds more. Most people sleep at night. so they don't see the stars as much as you see the clouds.

Yes, especially when I'm camping in the high country. The stars seem so close, you could reach out and touch them! I love clouds when they gather around a mountain top or when they create the same look as The Simpsons clouds.
