I've been at my job for almost 5 years and it has been rough since day 1. I have been constantly placed in situations at work whereas it always conflicted with other co-workers -- and not in a nice way. There are many things going on that shouldn't be and I've already tried going to my boss about it but nothing has been done or said about it. We're talking about Medicaid Fraud/Abuse. Things aren't being done correctly, if not done at all and I got the bulk of most of the work there but the least paid. I feel like I'm a nobody there. The only reason why I've put up with it this long is only for the sake of being employed. But I'm tired of fingers always being pointed at me when things go wrong. I can't get my 70+ yr old boss to understand that. I'm looking for another job now. Being the boss isn't going to do anything about it, I seriously considered reporting whats been going on to the state. But don't know if thats a good idea. I don't know what else to do.

Some states have whistleblower laws that protect employees when they bring fraudulant acitivity to light. Look that up--

But first, get the resume out there...

You might be held repsonsible for the fraud if you knew and did nothing- esp. if it seems the whole office is against you- you may be the fall guy if the comes out some other way.

It all boils down to being able to live with yourself... Have you considered finding a new job, and while you're looking, get as much proof as you can about what's going on where you work now. In writing.

Once you have your new job, you can do one of 2 things:
1. Report it to the state.
2. Send all your proof to a really good journalist (ABC News, NBC News, 20/20, etc.) They'll tackle it.... and heads will roll.

Good luck... both with living with yourself and with finding a job that makes you feel better about who you are!
