If you are speaking of being proud of ones country I think Canadians are just as proud if not a little more so than Americans.
Patriotism is another story because I don't think a lot of people really understand what that is.
Patriotism is a contrived concept created to make the citizens of a given country subservient to the ruling government. It serves to foster the belief through extensive propaganda that all else should be viewed as less important than the state. Including ones family, friends, personal well being (life) and spiritual beliefs.
It is a form of brainwashing and control of the masses which has been employed for centuries throughout the world.
I would say the US would definitely have the upper hand on the Patriotism scale.

I don't think Americans are more patriotic than any other nation be that Canadian, french, Colombian, Swedish, Icelandic or Russian. They just think they are........I think they think if they say it the loudest and in the most obnoxious way somehow they are patriotic than any other country but personally i dont think its true at all.

Pretty much equal.
America just waves flags and shouts USA USA because they feel insecure.
America is patriotic about a terrible war record.
America is patriotic about being a racist country.
America is patriotic about a five trillion dollar debt.
America is patriotic about being the target of major terrorism.
America is patriotic about pissing off other countries.
America is patriotic about illegal invasions and "killing the f*cking ragheads", to quote an American I know.
Canada....
Canada is patriotic about having a long-standing record of being the world's largest peacekeeper.
Canada is patriotic about only having half a trillion dollar debt, eh?
Canada is patriotic about loyalties to the Queen, compared to the traitorous Americans.
Canada is patriotic about defending their country against the Americans.
Canada is patriotic about not wasting money on a massive military that, despite being boasted about, never gets anything done.
Canada is patriotic about having one of the largest natural resource depots in the world.
Canada is patriotic about having cleaner air than the Americans.
Canada is patriotic about being the most beautiful country on earth. (BC)
Canada is patriotic about consistently winning the "best country on earth" award (more recently Norway though), which America has never won.
Canada is patriotic about having Vancouver voted third best place to live in on earth (after 2 swiss cities)
Canada is patriotic about having an excellent war record, winning almost every war we've fought in. (exception: American revolution, the British lost that for us.)
We simply don't wave flags and shout "Canada! Canada", because we know that we don't have to. America, like I said earlier, feels insecure, and must wave flags and shout because every other country despises them.

I believe both countries have patriotism but Canada doesn't feel the need to flaunt it with the fervor of Americans.

Certain Americans are by far much more patriotic.
Canadians are more proud of what Canada tries to promote in the world, human equality and human rights. So it is not so much Canada as it is the Canadian ideology.

I don't think it is possible to quantify patriotism. Americans definitely get more crap for liking their country, but who doesn't like home?

This question is superfluous as it is moot. You will only get opinions and not facts. However, it is my guess that they are equally patriotic. And just because you hate your government does not mean you hate your country.
