which ear?

I've been wanting to get the cartilage of my ear pierced but i'm not sure which ear, or both, to get pierced. i want a real small hoop at the top, what do you think?

which side is ur hair parting? pierce on the side where u often put ur hair behind ur ears, so that people can look at the earring and its not covered by hair.

I would choose both ears. A lot of people have even had both of their ears pierced twice. Those people--who had their ears pierced twice--had diamond studs on top and the bottom with the small hoops. The reason behind piercing both...it will bring balance to your face. If it where a guy wanting to pierced his ear(s), I would had said the left ear, but this advice is for only a guy. Guys piercing (only...these are old meanings): left means "stud", right means "gay", and both means "confuse". I never heard a female wanting to only pierced 1 ear, tho. It's new to me.

pierce whatever ear is the same as your dominant hand. If you're left-hande, get your left ear pierced, if you're right-handed, get your right ear pierced. If you're ambidextorous, get both pierced.

The will be aesthetically pleasing. otherwise say you're right-handed and you pierce your left ear...if someone looks at you while your writing with your right hand...theyre attention will be drawn to both the hoop in your left ear (becasue that type of piercing draws the eyes attention) and your right hand...and these two things will clash, and not be as pleasing.
