I think they had it, but just didn't use it or hide it until after the apple :)

Must have. They realized after they ate the apple that they were naked and used fig leaves to cover up with. If there was nothing to cover they wouldn't have needed the leaves, lol. Also, it was NOT an apple because we still have apples. God wouldn't let them eat the fruit from the tree of good and evil and neither could we. So there, ha!

they didn't develop their fine sense of frustration with with their hairiness until after they bit into the apple my fine friend... I mean come on.. I am sure that it was warm there and they didn't have such hairy bodies back then to keep warm...
