Is the electrical system on a F150 suitable enough for a set of high intensity bulbs...or would I need a wiring harness with a couple of relays to regulate the watts?

The system is not capable of higher wattage. It will melt the connectors to the headlights. Relays and bigger wiring is a must. Just use the relays to trigger the headlights through the bigger wires you run.

just change the bulbs not the lens, as long as you get them for your truck, they will plug right up. No changing of harness..
