now, i think your asking a very philosophical question. before you can answer yours, answer this, can one truley (and honestly) know one's self. i believe that both are completely impossible, but they do make you think abit... i mean how well do u know yourself? then again, what is the "self"?

Yes it is not possible (or) atleast i can put it this way, you cannot validate the statement that the other person understood you.

The only thing possible and which can come close little bit is to match the frequency of the thoughts and body languages match. That's about it. It is indeed a claim but it can be close if not possible.

Well, the understanding part is up to the person, and if the person wants to understand. For example, say you were telling me a plan. I might understand, i just didnt feel like it. Now say if Chuck norris was gonna round house kick you. Then i would be in understandment.

I think you can understand another person truly, if they tell you every little thing about them. Most people keeps things about themselves only for themselves. You really don't know those little insecurities or fears a person holds inside. So I think you can understand as much as they give.

Maybe, a least to a degree. But if you mean completely, then I think the answer is no. As a matter of fact, no one understands them self completely either.

I have come to the conclusion I really don't care if I ever fully understand others.... IF they are special to me, and I adore them, that is enough...
Unless it were something detrimental, then I would be concerned but just normal differences, who cares is how I feel...
Life is too full of real problems why worry over the small things.?

I believe it is entirely possible to understand at least a part of another person. We aren't that different after all.

we only understand what weve seen within ourselves. I sent a girl a quote a while back about that.
*If only I could throw away the urge to trace my patterns in your heart, I could really see you.*

That is why it is important to communicate, to listen, to be honest, and to have trust in one another.

Although, even the Bible says, "Who can know another man's heart?"

It gets easier to understand as you get older.
