Thank God Vince made the right move and gave the belt to Edge instead of Batista. And even though I like Kennedy we do not have to kill ourselves waiting for Wrestlemania 24.

It's a good move. 'Taker and Kennedy are out of action for awhile. Batista was getting old as champion. He'll probably get a shot at Edge and lose.
They need to do more than that though to improve Smackdown. As far as Raw is concerned, get the belt on HBK, give him the old WWE title, toss that spinning belt in the ocean, and do a roster draft that helps both Raw and Smackdown.
As far as ECW is concerned...it's dead. cancel it, and draft everyone onto the 2 main WWE rosters.

personally, i hate edge, but he's a great heel. i also think that it was a wise decision, based on the fact that both Undertaker and Mr. Kennedy will be out of action for quite a while. I believe that when Taker gets back from surgery, he'll get a shot at getting his gold back, based on the way that he lost it. After all, he battled to a draw in a Steel Cage with Batista, got jumped by Mark Henry, and *then* Edge showed his yellow hide.

They'll probably send HHH to Smackdown seeing as how the DX storyline is scrapped.
