The house was located at 112 Ocean Ave.Due to tourists,the name of the street as well as the number of the house changed.Does anyone know the new address of the house?

The infamous 112 Ocean Avenue address has been changed to 108 Ocean Avenue. The house is 3/10 of a mile down on the left, opposite South Ireland St.

This story is COMPLETELY true. The only surviving member of the slain family is currently serving a life sentence in jail after the police there came to the conclusion after investigating the crime that he did the murders all on his own..I think that it was seriously an injustice. It seemed to me that the police looked at the surviving son and concluded if he is the only one left alive then he did it. This murder reminds me of the OJ trial but set in 1974. I sure do wish that someone would reopen the case as well as reinvestigate it. Then and only then, the police will find out the truth.

i don't know if the story that was portrayed in the first movie was really true but things like that really happened and how can you account for them knowing things that was released to the public a/b the first murders such as body positions and such. do i think they sensationized and changed some of the events to make it more marketable of course they did.. but who are we to say that it was ALL lies and fabrication. there's always some truth in any lie.
i lived in a house that i believed was what most would call haunted. there was definitely something evil there and in the end it burned down years later. i'm a believer.

As for knowing the house, my cousin used to live on Ocean Ave but moved away about 6 months before the DeFeo tragedy. She says she would wave hi to them if they were outside, but she wasn't particularly friendly w/ the family.

I do not know the new address, however by best friend in h.s. knew the Defeo family. The whole thing is the biggest lie ever told. They made millions telling this lie. Radio stations used to give away limo rides by the house. The neighborhood got sick of it and used to throw eggs at the limos. The only true part of the story is that the crazy brother killed the family because he was high on drugs. It was never ever haunted.

They did change the number of the house, as well as renovate it. The windows are different. It doesn't look to much like the original house.
